Told through multiple POVs across three timelines—1950s England, 1990s Derbyshire, and present-day Philadelphia—the story unspools a cursed bloodline of wolf-men, blood mages, and broken warriors.

At its heart is Liz Campbell, a former Marine whose body is broken by war and heroin, but whose fate is entangled with the red-eyed beasts of legend. As she stumbles through the wreckage of addiction, she encounters Desmond O’Connell, an aging Wolf King trying to restore his crumbling dynasty—and fight off the encroaching madness of Stage Four, a final transformation that turns man into something far worse than beast.

As their lives crash into each other and the wolf-virus mutates, a dark force buried in the English hills—once thought long-extinct—reawakens. The only way forward is to unravel the ancient spell that cursed them all… but not everyone wants to be saved.
